Eddie Ramirez is third year dental student and the current President or Oregon ASDA. He also serves as the District 10 Community Outreach Chair. He completed his undergraduate studies at Portland State University, where he received his B.S. in Organismal Biology. He began his journey into ASDA as a first year, and since then, discovered a passion for organized dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys participating in races such as Hood to Coast, and is an avid Crossfitter.
Britta is a four year dental student from Chandler, Arizona and received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from Arizona State University. She has been involved heavily involved with Oregon ASDA since her first year of dental school, serving as the Secretary, Vice President, President, and now Advisor. She loves ASDA because of the real world perspective it brings to her work in dental school and because of the amazing ASDA members she has been able to work with at OHSU and around the country!
Tom is a second-year dental student at Oregon Health and Science University, a Registered Nurse, father and husband. After graduating from the University of Alaska with a degree in nursing in 2007 he moved to Hawaii for a few years before coming to Oregon to complete his pre-dental preparation at Portland State University. His goals for Oregon ASDA are to increase pre-dental membership and involvement as well as increasing chapter funding to allow for more educational opportunities for student leaders.
Before starting dental school, Ty was an elementary school teacher and loves that dentistry is just as people-focused as teaching was. He enjoys being involved in a myriad of extracurricular activities at school and appreciates the way ASDA involvement serves to enrich his dental school education. He lives in Hillsboro with his husband, two dogs, 15 chickens, and more rabbits than he can count. Though the commute to and from school is a long one, he enjoys being able to balance his school-life with the extracurricular activities he loves.
Oregon ASDA members are able to engage with legislation that affects the dental practice. We attend the biannual Oregon Dental Associaiton Lobby Day, and send representatives to ASDA's National Lobby Day each year as well.
You can get involved with ASDA's bipartisan legislative arm, ADPAC, by following this link, or by attending our ADPAC Week each spring. http://www.ada.org/en/advocacy/adpac/

We have recently moved to the new Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CLSB) in Portland's South Waterfront neighborhood.
The CLSB is located on the Portland Streetcar NS line, and when the new Tilikum Crossing bridge opens in Fall 2015, it will also be accessible by the new Orange MAX line. There are also multiple TriMet bus lines that stop near the CLSB.
There is plentiful bike parking at the CLSB.
Parking is free for School of Dentistry patients in the underground CLSB parking structure. All other visitors can pay to park in the Schnitzer Lot, just north of the CLSB.
The School of Dentistry is located on the 3rd floor (3A003 lecture hall), and the 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th floors in Skourtes Tower.
